It may take a little more time to find this beauty in some people or some places at a given time, but the beauty is there and I find it! Everyone was blessed by their creator with unique looks , body type and personality. I’ve never photographed anyone who didn’t photograph well. Even those who professed before the photo shoot that “I never photograph well”. My clients are often pleasantly surprised at how well they photograph and are always pleased with my photographic study of them. I make every photo shoot an experience, a journey, never just an end result of our work together. Just as our lives must be a journey, not a destination, so must my work be with each client. To that end I seldom shoot in a studio. The vast majority of people who seek my services are more comfortable in their own environment, be that their home, work place or an outside location. This type of photography often presents greater challenges to me but even greater rewards to me and my client. I use my photographic equipment as tools that will enable me to obtain the artistic results that are desired by both my client and myself. On outside location shooting I scout out each location for the best possible lighting at a given time of day and I am also prepared to use “fill” or “reflected” light when necessary. I shoot with the minimum equipment necessary to get the desired results. I do the same in a client’s home, work place or wherever they wish to be photographed. Each photographic shoot is a journey, not a destination. My main areas of concentration are Portraits, Fine Art and Events. My most enjoyable work comes when I work with people and capture their unique inner and physical beauty that they are blessed to have. How do I capture the inner beauty of a client? By photographing, just at the right moment, their eyes, facial expression and body language, all of which are outward and visible signs of the inward, spiritual person they truly are. Their physical attributes are enhanced by my use of light and composition. My Fine Art photography consists of almost everything that I see in life. I am seldom without a camera wherever I might be. Everything in life deserves a second look, a second thought and most often to be preserved for additional viewing and reflection. The subject matter may be new, very familiar or very exotic. The subject, lighting and composition afford me the opportunity to preserve this moment in time as I experienced it. My Event photography is very photojournalistic in nature. I greatly enjoy the challenge of anticipating the actions of all those present and offer a fresh approach to even annual events. I utilize all of my photographic skills during Event photography; very candid Portraits, Fine Art with the available colors and elements of the event and the action or the lack of action of those observing and participating in the event.
